Technology of Creating Antireflection Coating (ARC) for Solar CellsDr. Sultan Suleimanov holds the Doctor of Physics and Mathematics degree and works as the Head of the laboratory at the Materials Science Institute of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences. The proposed technology represents a complex method of development of Antireflection Coatings (ARC) on the basis of composite materials. Composite materials are selected through computer modeling of optical properties of “ARC-substrate” system. Optimization of optical characteristics of the “ARC-substrate” system is achieved through computer processing of experimental data. Experimental samples of ARC for solar cells on the basis of monocrystal and polycrystal Si have been prepared and passed ground and space tests at Electronics Institute and the enterprise of Granit. The advantages of this technology are (1) reduced labor intensity, cost and time for creation of new ARC, (2) increased efficiency and optimized spectral optical properties of solar cells with ARC. It is possible to modify the technology on as-needed basis to meet additional requirements for ARC, and the method of coating deposition can be modified for various methods of spraying. |
